Lesson: Understanding the World

We have been looking at other people's backgrounds, cultures amd experiences to promote the children's understanding of the wider world and each other's similarities and differences in a meaningful way.

We were very lucky to have Georgia's mummy come in to talk to use about traditions in Iran, Adrianna and Nina Mummy and Daddy came in to talk about the tranditions in Poland and Rauf's daddy came in to talk about the traditions in Turkey.

During this topic the children tasted foods for the different countries we were learning about. These countries included Australia, India, Iran, Turkey, Germany, Poland, Scotland, Italy, Spain, China and France.
